Michael Douglas went on Letterman to discuss his situation. The stage 4 throat cancer he is currently living with is being taken care of, and he is maintaining positive. Chemotherapy has already started and he’s been given an 80% success rate. The Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps star is embarking on this journey with family and friends by his side. In addition to his battle, Douglas will be a part of the Stand Up 2 Cancer telethon which will be airing on all major networks on September 10th. Katharine McPhee has landed a new role – Shark Night 3D. Final Destination 2 and Snakes on a Plane director, David R. Ellis takes the helm of the new 3D adventure film that starts shooting at the end of September. The film follows a group of college friends who spend the weekend at a lake house, which happens to be infested with sharks! Joining Katharine is Joel David Moore from Avatar and Sara Paxton. With the charm of last months Piranha 3D winning over fans and critics, this is sure to be another campy fun ride. Location for filming was announced today as Shreveport, Louisiana. Hopefully, we can expect this film for next Summer.

Reports broke out last night stating that Celine Dion had been rushed to the hospital. The pregnant star was supposedly in danger of losing the twins she is carrying. However, today her rep announced we can all rest easy, the story is not true. Last year, a similar story broke, only it was true. Celine had been pregnant with her 2nd child and miscarried mid-November. In July of this year, it was announced that she was expecting twin boys. Currently, she and the boys are doing well and fans have nothing to worry about.
